The Daily Sports Daily reported that Barcelona has been allowed to participate in the new season home jersey for the first time.

In the previous two rounds of the league, the La Liga forced the team to wear the green away jersey from last season. The club has now received official confirmation that it will debut in a red and blue jersey against Vallecano this Sunday.

As of now, this situation has caused dissatisfaction from Nike, and also disappointed fans who are tired of seeing their idols wearing new jerseys.

In the opening game of the new season against Mallorca and the subsequent challenge to Levante, a rare scene appeared. Barcelona wore an old jersey to start the new season league, which stems from the rules and procedures of the event itself.

The right to decide on the selection of competition clothing does not belong to the club, but the final matching is approved by the competition supervisor after the submitted plan is officially reviewed. Whether it is against Mallorca or Levante, all three new Barcelona jerseys failed to pass the review due to color conflicts, and even the orange third jersey was no exception. The end result was that Barcelona had to use last season's stock jerseys.

The situation will be completely different now. Vallecano wore a white jersey with red stripes, which completely eliminated any risk of visual confusion, and Barcelona was able to make their debut in a traditional red and blue jersey.
