World: Barcelona vs. Valencia may use Cruyff stadium and need to install VAR equipment

World Sports reported that Barcelona's match against Valencia may be transferred to the Cruyff Stadium.

As the Montwhic Olympic Stadium has a concert on September 12 and the Spotify Camp Nou has not yet received permission to reopen, Barcelona's match against Valencia on September 13 or 14 may be held at the Cruyff Stadium.

Previously, La Liga had ruled out the possibility of changing the game venue to Stadium Mestalia (Valencia home court), and Club Barcelona also rejected the proposal to play at Stadium Montilivi (Gerona home court).

Therefore, Cruyff Stadium became the most likely option. Although the stadium can only accommodate 6,000 spectators, far less than the 55,000 people at the Montwhich Olympic Stadium, La Liga has no objection to this.

However, in order to ensure the smooth progress of the game, formal approval from the La Liga Committee is still required. The committee needs to check whether the stadium meets key conditions such as safety, entrance gates, media areas, etc., and also needs to confirm that VAR technology can be temporarily installed and used. If Club Barcelona applies in advance, the technology can be temporarily deployed in the game.
