ESPN random simulation: Magic& Warriors rank first in the East and West in the new season! Lakers missed the playoffs

ESPN columnist Kevin Pelton wrote an article looking at the new NBA season from the perspective of random simulation.

The part about the regular season team results:

Records after Christmas: No. 1 Magic in the East (18 wins and 8 losses), No. 1 Warriors in the West (20 wins and 7 losses).

Before the All-Star Game (February 15): The Warriors became the focus of the league, leading the league with 42 wins and 13 losses, and the Eastern Conference was led by the young Magic.

The end of the regular season in April: The Warriors and Thunder compete for the top spot in the Western Conference. The Warriors secured the top spot with a 10-game winning streak in the final stage.

The Timberwolves are stuck in the play-off zone, and the Mavericks are still trying to compete for tenth. The Celtics are 19-30 since winning the NBA Cup, holding on to the playoffs by a slim margin.
