TYC: The Argentine Football Association has confirmed that Leons FC, founded by the Messi family, will participate in the third division

According to TYC reports, the Argentine Football Association has confirmed that Leons FC, founded by the Messi family, will participate in the Argentine C-League.

Leóns Football Club was founded by the Messi family and has recently been confirmed by the Argentine Football Association to participate in the Argentine C-League next season. The club was founded in 2015 in the community of Alvear, 14 kilometers south of Rosario, and is chaired by Messi's brother Matias.

According to official announcement document No. 6752, this young team directly qualified for the competition. This means that Leons can join the Argentine Football Association's competition system directly without starting with an indirectly affiliated club, thus skipping the lowest level of amateur promotion.

Although in a few months they will join the third division with local teams such as Cordoba Central and Argentinos, Leon currently still competes in the second division of Rosario and is top of the relegation zone.

The team is currently coached by Victor Zapata, who recently coached Atlas. Zapata, who has played for high-profile clubs such as River Plate, Independiente and Velez, recently took over at Lyons and is working with management to build a competitive squad to ensure a smooth transition to a higher level.
