Mbappe & Rudigue s European match suspension + one year of probation! UEFA official: Real Madrid s appeal was rejected

UEFA Appellate Body issued an announcement today, officially rejecting Real Madrid's appeal and upholding the punishment of Mbappe, Rudiger and Sebalos in April this year. Among them, Mbappe and Rudiger were suspended for one game in the European game and were suspended for one year.

Result of the ruling:

Real Madrid Football Club's appeal request was rejected. The original penalty decision made by the UEFA Committee on Control, Ethics and Discipline will remain valid on April 4, 2025.

Event background:

After Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid's second leg match, Atletico Madrid submitted four videos to UEFA, accusing Real Madrid players of misconduct. These include: Rudiger made a neck gesture to Atletico Madrid fans, Vinicius repeatedly provoked the audience, Sebassus made a rude gesture when entering the player's passage, and Mbappe touched his private parts in the face of Atletico Madrid fans.

UEFA issued a penalty on April 4, 2025: Mbappe suspended for one game in the European Championship and was fined 30,000 euros; Rudigue suspended for one game in the European Championship and was fined 40,000 euros. Both of them will not be immediately suspended and will have a one-year probation period. If the two do not commit again within one year, the penalty will not be executed. Sebalos was fined 20,000 euros, and Vinicius was not punished.
