TA: Chick is selected for the English roster this issue due to injury to Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Walton

According to The Athletic, AC Milan midfielder Chick was drafted for the squad of the England national team this issue.

It is reported that the call was due to Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Walton suffered an adductor injury in the Premier League this week against Aston Villa. Crystal Palace head coach Glasner said after the game that Walton will have to withdraw from this period of training for the England national team. However, the news has not been confirmed by the FA.

29-year-old Lovetus Chick has played 10 times for the England national team, but he has never played for the national team since his match against the United States in November 2018. He was called up in March 2019 but eventually withdrew for some reason.

Loftus Chick had previously worked with current England coach Tuchel at Chelsea. Chick also left Chelsea for several months after Tuchel was fired by Chelsea and signed a four-year contract with Milan in the summer of 2023. So far, he has made 70 appearances for AC Milan and scored 11 goals.

In this month's World Cup qualifiers, England will face Andorra and Serbia respectively.
