data show that Romanian referee Kovac will become the first referee to have enforced the law and won the three European finals, with Serie A team winning the previous two enforcement finals.

Romanian referee Kovac will be responsible for the Champions League final of Paris vs Inter Milan, and he will therefore become the first referee to enforce the Champions League final, UEFA Cup final and UEFA League final.

Kovac's two European finals that were previously enforced by law were eventually won by Serie A team, namely the 2022 European League final of Rome 1-0 Feyenoord and the 2024 Europa League final of Atlanta 3-0 Leverkusen.
