Bovi, who was loaned to Fiorentina by Rome, fainted from a heart attack in a Serie A match in December last year, and this week he talked about his future in an interview.

Bovie first said: "I have to undergo other checks to understand what I can do in the future. I hope everything goes well and hope I can return to the game as soon as possible. I am satisfied with the progress of the situation. I have overcome a difficult period and look forward to the future with the greatest positive attitude."

Fiorentina finally finished sixth in Serie A this season and qualified for the European Union for next season.
