Talking about his defense of Harden's three-point shot at the end of the game. Harden signaled that he was fouled but the referee did not say anything. Grimes said: "I may have committed a foul, or I may not have committed it. But it is not up to me to judge."

After the game, the referee Curtis Blair said that the referee determined that Grimes legally contested Harden's three-point shot.
