Mirror: Leipzig and Sesco have a gentleman agreement, allowing players to leave the team by 60 million to 70 million pounds

According to the Mirror, Manchester United has held informal talks with Leipzig striker Sesco, but no formal offer has been made yet.

Watkins was Manchester United's first choice target because he has rich Premier League experience and meets Manchester United's signing requirements this summer. But Villa insisted on a £60m asking price on the 29-year-old striker, which became a barrier to the deal. Manchester United expressed their willingness to bid 45 million pounds for Watkins in contact with Villa, but it was far below Villa's valuation, so it was rejected.

Although the asking price is similar to Watkins, Sesco, who is only 22 years old, has become a more feasible option with his age advantage. However, Manchester United faces competition from Newcastle. According to German sources, a gentleman agreement has been reached between Leipzig and Sesco, allowing players to leave the team at a transfer fee of 60 million to 70 million pounds plus floating, but only for some designated clubs.

Cesco has long been Manchester United's target, and in this deal, the club's scout head Vivier may have played a key role, as he once served as the player Red Bull Leipzig and former club Red Bull Salzburg. Manchester United originally wanted to sign Drapp this summer, but he finally chose to join Chelsea. Isaac and Jackson were also considered, but the transfer fee was considered too high.
